Social Media Content Creator
Assist with creating and posting social media content on behalf of the church. Attend various church-wide events to collect photos and other content to be shared online.

Graphic Artist
Design graphics or publications for various ministry-specific events.

Photographer
Photograph church activities for various print publications and social media.
Time: flexible

Greeter
Welcome members and guests at Sunday morning services and occasional memorials or special events. Make people feel welcome and well-oriented to our church.

Usher
Welcome members and guests at Sunday morning services and occasional memorials or special events. Assist with offering collection, attendace, and directing people during special parts of worship.
Time: monthly or weekly, as available

Communion Server
Serve Communion elements in worship services, at the direction of the pastors.

Prayer Team Member
There are multiple ways to engage: Help maintain the Prayer Room, write notes of encouragement to members and visitors, etc. The Prayer Team agrees to be discrete with the personal prayer requests that they receive by email on a weekly basis.

Stephen Minister
Lay persons who provide distinctively Christian and confidential one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances.
Time: Mandatory training program, regular meetings.

Bereavement Committee Member
Provide refreshments and service for memorial services, may include set-up and clean-up.
Time: occasional

Family Care Provider
Provide meals for families after hospital stays. Occasionally other “hands-on” help like pet-care, mail pick-up, and phone calls.
Time: flexible

Pre-Marriage Counseling Facilitator
Lay people are trained and certified to facilitate couples through a program that prepares them for the many challenges they will face in marriage. Online training is provided.

Killearn Group Leader
Teaches, leads or facilitates adult small groups, either on campus, in group member homes, or a predetermined public place.
Time: 1-4 times per month, varies by group

Discipleship Band Leader
Leads a Discipleship Band, either on campus, in group member homes, or a predetermined public place. A Band is not a traditional small group. It is an intimate group of three to five people who meet together to read, pray, honestly share their experiences and provide accountability.
Time: 1-4 times per month, varies by group

Men's Ministry Team Member
Serves on the Men’s Ministry Team to plan activities and events for the men of our church and community.

Women's Ministry Team Member
Serves on the Women’s Ministry Team to plan activities and events for the women of our church and community.

Senior Adult Ministry Team Member (55+)
Serves on the Senior Adult Ministry Team (Saints Alive) to plan activities and events for people 55 and over. This ministry offers opportunities to connect, celebrate and engage in discussions relevant to the senior life stage.

Marriage Ministry Team Member
Serves on the Marriage Ministry Team to plan and help facilitate workshops, Bible studies, activities and events for married couples.
Time: varies by activity or event schedule

Singles' Ministry Team Member
Serves on the Single’s Ministry Team to plan engaging and inclusive activities for single adults on our church and community, with a focus on Bible study, fellowship and service.
Time: varies by activity or event schedule

Alpha Outreach Ministry
Alpha is an outreach ministry for people who are exploring the Christian faith. There are multiple roles to fill in Alpha, with a wide range of needed skills and personalities. Perfect for those who have a passion to reach the unchurched or dechurched.
Time: varies by role, when an Alpha Course is being offered

Small Group Leader or Assistant
Invest in a small group of kids by being present, getting to know the kids, creating a safe space, and partnering with parents. Help the kids develop a personal faith by teaching Biblical truths and their application using matierals provided by Killearn Kids. Serves kids ages 3-12.
Time: 1-2 Sundays per month during a worship service

Nursery Volunteer
Helps care for children and/or teach the lesson of the day. Serves infants, walking toddlers or two year olds.
Time: 1+ hours per week, flexible as needed

Greeter Team Volunteer
Welcomes and assists families and children with the check-in process on Sunday mornings.
Time: 1-2 Sundays per month

Safety Team Volunteer
Monitors hallways to ensure the safety of the children during the worship services, or other areas of campus for special events.
Time: 2-4 Sundays per month, or for special events

Snack Team Volunteer
Helps coordinate and/or serve food for Killearn Kids events.
Time: flexible

Decorating Team Volunteer
Helps decorate spaces for Killearn Kids events throughout the year.
Time: flexible

Shopping Team
Helps shop for supplies in advance for Killearn Kids events, and drop them off at the church as needed.
Time: flexible

Clean Up Team
Helps clean up and/or tear down after Killearn Kids events throughout the year.

Student Group Leader
Leads the small group lessons under the direction of the Director of Student Ministries. Groups meet Wednesdays from 6-8 PM in various locations.
Time: weekly during the school year

SNL Leader
Assists the Director of Student Ministries at Sunday Night Live (SNL).
Time: Sunday nights 5-7 PM or 6-8 PM

Sunday School Leader
Assists the Director of Student Ministries.
Time: Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM

Food Team
Prepares, organizes and/or provides snacks or other food needed for KSM events such as SNL, Small Groups, Wacky Wednesdays, etc.

Set Up and Clean Up Team
Helps set up or clean up after events. Helps staff prepare in advance.

Event Host
Have a youth-friendly home and a desire to provide a place for us to host a special event or small group.

Special Event Chaperone
Attend special events at various locations to help staff in chaperoning students on trips.

Public Speaker
Leads a discussion or shares a testimony at a KSM event.
Time: as needed

C.R.E.W. Week Leader
Helps all week long, leading work for local Tallahassee mission projects alongside the students.
Time: as needed

Audio/Visual Tech
Assists with running sound booth, music, lights, etc for KSM events in the Bethune Building.

Mission Trip Leader or Team Member
Lead or be part of a team to serve locally, nationally, or internationally. Some trips involve monthly meetings. Trips can vary in length, up to one week.

Contemporary Worship Team
Lead the congregation in musical worship (various instruments/vocals) along with other team members, using provided music.
Time: once every 2-4 weeks depending on instrument, plus a midweek rehearsal the week you serve

Traditional Choir
Lead the congregation in musical worship along with other choir members, using music from the hymnal or other provided resources.
Time: weekly rehearsals and Sunday mornings

Production Team
Serve in one or both worship services by running slides, operating the livestream camera or assisting with audio needs. Help set up or tear down the stage before or after services. Opportunites to serve at special events, meetings or classes during the week that require production support.
Time: 1-2 Sundays per month, other events as needed

Volunteer Audio Technician
Run audio for band or choir rehearsals and worship services. Preferrably has an ear for music and familiarity with audio equipment.

Willing to use abilities in visual or performing arts as a part of worship services or special events.
