We believe that meeting the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of our church and neighbors is what showing the love of Christ in community is all about. We have a multitude of ministries devoted to the care of persons, including ministries of prayer, marriage, meals, transportation, bereavement, and member connection.
How can we pray for you?
Stephen Ministry
Our Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. There are times when each of us needs the care of another person: grieving, loneliness, family trauma, terminal illness, job crisis, separation, all kinds of life transitions, etc. If you'd like more information, contact Miriam Dady at miriam@killearn.church.
A Stephen Minister is:
A Stephen Minister is:
- A child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting.
- A congregation member with gifts of caregiving, who was carefully selected to serve in this role.
- A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional and spiritual care.
- A caring, Christian friend who listens, cares, prays, supports, and encourages.
- Someone who will meet faithfully for about an hour each week, for as long as there's a need.
